Today Grammy (Mormor) Lindstrom has returned home. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity for the girls to meet her and laugh with her. They were crushed upon hearing the news, but they were so happy that she is with God and Xpristouli. They felt an instant connection with her even though it was the first time they met. Not surprising for Grammy loved fully and unconditionally with that 100 pound little body. I told her I thought she was Superwoman because no mater what she was going through she was one of the most positive people Ive ever met! I remember just about a week ago Erik asked how she felt and after being in CCU she answers Im feeling better now, this morning I thought I was a goner! This made me realize how much in life we take for granted and how even in her last moments she is continuing to teach us how to look at life. It sounds funny, but she was wise beyond her years! I will miss our long distance conversations, although now they seem too infrequent. Her depth and perception on humanity will continue to stay with me as I deal with things in life. She accepted everyone in her life blood or brought by blood and I felt as much her Grandchild as Erik. We had lots in common and I wish we could have lived closer to experience more with her. Mormor, thank you for your wisdom. I will continue to keep the Swedish culture alive in our house. I will make fried clams in your honor today. May your memory be eternal!
