Today: Harry Reid either finds his spine or we help him find the door. So the Senate Democrats are going to meet tonight to decide whether twice-duly elected Barak Obama should be able to work out his constitutionally guaranteed duties through the Senate, despite the fact that he happens to be black. Unfortunately for the President, the spineless human that stands between him and adjusting the rules, is Harry Reid... the same fool who has - time and again - protected the idea of a Super Majority for anything important time and time again. Because... tradition. You know, tradition like holding the nation hostage and shutting down government for 16 days costing us $24 billion dollars. That tradition. So today, Harry will huff and puff about it to make himself be better. Maybe throw out a couple memes that talk about how unfair it is, what the Republicans are doing. And in the end, hell do NOTHING. Because Harry Reid is in the pocket of somebody that doesnt want certain agendas to move forward. My hunch is the NRA, but its somebody. It has to be. You dont think the Republicans would have changed this rule immediately? Look what they did in the House during the budget debate. Look what they are doing in states from coast to cast to disenfranchise voters. This is a party whose main mantra for getting what they want is bend any rule and then, if that doesnt work... cheat to win. So today is the day to put Senator Harry Reid on the spot. To change the Filibuster rule. To give this President, at the very least, the next 12 months to appoint, to fulfill, to be heard. And if Harry Reid does not, then you should put him solidly in the R category and he should be targeted, hard, for a better Democrat egardless of how tight the elections are. Hes either on our side or hes not. And if hes not, Id rather kick him to the curb and start over. - Steve Marmel
