Today I am celebrating one of Gods greatest gifts to me -- my mom. She has been such an example of love, nurturing and giving. I have memories of her helping friends of ours so that their lives would be better in every way possible. The spiritual aspect was very important, but she would also take some shopping for clothes or have them in our home often just so they felt loved. And she really loved them all! My mom is very ill, celebrating her birthday in a Rehab today. I take every day I can to tell her I love her. She has good days where she can tell us she loves us. Those days make every unspoken day worth being there -continuously telling her the stories of us, her grand kids , and how much we love her so. Mom is a true gift to us. I often wonder where I would be if I had not been born in a Christian home with parents who loved God and loved me. And we had more. We had a mom who showed us what it means to give of herself to Daddy, six kids, in-laws $ grandchildren, Firehall family, and complete strangers. Our home was always full of people and my mom was usually in the kitchen finding a way to serve them through food. God knew we needed a Momma like her - thank you! She will always be our greatest blessing! so Happy birthday to the worlds most amazing Mama in the world! I love you!
