Today I bid farewell to the founder of Chuck-fil-A, Mr Truett Cathy and condolences to his family. Being from Atlanta where Mr. Cathy started, I grew up on the delicious chicken sandwiches often finding my way to Greenbriar or South Dekalb malls to chow down. It was also Mr. Cathy and his organization that stepped in to save Atlantas college football game, formerly known as the Peach Bowl, from ruin. I rode with Mr. Cathys grandson this past May across country on motorcycle. And we all love those Eat Mor Chikin commercials. But what was and remains most inspiring about Mr. Cathy was his Christian faith and values. He did indeed build a company dedicated to honoring Sunday, the Lords Day so his employees and patrons knew to whom his heart belonged. Farewell sir and thanks for the great childhood memories that continue today. May God welcome you, a good and faithful servant, home.
