Today I embraced that 89% British heritage from which Ancestry DNA says I am descended. I had friends over for tea. Not sure that it was technically Afternoon Tea since we didnt eat until well after 4 pm, and the menu included some non-English treats (like handmade Spanakopita triangles and toast wedges with my homemade Japanese Silver Berry jelly). Still, it was fun serving English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Prince of Wales teas (all made by Twinings of London, of course) with my 1920s Nippon tea set. Yes, I might watch too much Downton Abbey, Agatha Christie films and Sherlock Holmes! Thanks Rod, Andrea, Raigen and Quinton Sawyer Gambrell! That was fun! Jane Cox, Im still looking forward to our tea date at the St. Regis-Atlanta. Maybe we can make that happen after the holiday rush.
