Today I had my first bad fare. She was an older woman who needed - TopicsExpress

Today I had my first bad fare. She was an older woman who needed to get to her doctor appointment by 1:00. The call was scheduled for 1:00 so she was already late. Her: I need to go to Regent and Mineral Point Me: Maam, those streets are parallel to each other. Dont want to go into too many details about the addy for privacy reasons, but her directions were messed up also, so I drove her as best I could while she shrieked at me the entire way. I called dispatch for the address and knew the way, but when I tried to drive straight to the office she would have none of it. We got there about 1:15 and the fare was 12 bucks, which most likely would have been about 9 If I had driven her straight there. On the credit card receipt she wrote BAD SERVICE and NO TIP I took care of my dad for five years and realized from the start she was, like him, an Alzheimers patient. Then and now, the knowledge was no comfort. After I helped her out of the car, I spotted a dumpster and went over and threw up in it.
