Today, I lift my heart in prayer for caregivers. Lord, give us strength for today and glad hope for tomorrow. May we not become discouraged no matter how difficult our journey. May we remember we are beloved by You, and that as Your beloved children we must take of ourselves. Dear ones, I invite you to take a mini retreat today, even if its just for a few minutes to bathe yourself in music or to sit in silence in the healing Presence of the One who loves you. You will be refreshed. Remember that you are not alone. Talk to someone who can give you support. Write to me if you would like for me to pray for you. This time of year may be especially hard, our expectations may be unachievable, our memories of Christmases past, painful. You are on my heart this morning and my prayers are with you. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
