Today I saw a gem in the rough that excited me beyond belief. Thank God for good genes good family structure and the lucky privileged kids like me ( who would have never become anything without the support of the all you can be mother and supportive sisters. Without my Mothers persistency and my Fathers genes I would be nothing). Then you have this exceptional 4 year way more inquisitive than both of his parents combined at an age that all I thought off was playing with my best friend of the times past Oz Boy( whose has gone on to be successful with no connections in an on forgiving Nigerian economy against all odds possible the most resilient family I have ever known) . But as I looked into this kids eyes the underprivileged young black boy smart beyond his parents recognition all I could think is Im looking into the eyes of a great man and I saw that he emanates a level of hope and determination that supersedes one that I have ever had as a privileged kid.
