Today. I set out at 5 am to travel about 15 hours to see my two youngest grandchildren. It had rained here overnight and then froze so the roads were icy. As the morning progressed the weather and roads got worse. At the end ,it took me 45 minutes to go about 15 km. I tapped out. 8.5 hours of driving to end up back where I started. I was so disappointed. I had planned to be soaking up much hugs about now. Just wasnt meant to be. Today. This was taken about 20 minutes before I made the decision to turn around. There is no cell service on this stretch of road for about 3 hours. And I was the only soul around. Both big factors in my decision. Im tired. Time to rest. I hope you are safe and warm tonight.
