Today Kenya and I were driving and saw a man holding a toddlers arm while she tried to push a baby stroller. She wanted to cross the street and he didnt want her to so he started smacking her on her head and dragged her across the street crying. My heart hurt watching. My husband and I have been reading No Drama Discipline by Dan Seigel and Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D. (they also wrote The Whole Brain Child) and I have to say its the most empowering parenting book Ive read in some time.
