Today Rachael and I ventured out to Baldwin to take some photographs for a client. We spotted a beautiful lab mix trotting toward the highway. We pulled over and invited her into the car to check her tags and take her back to the owners land. The number on her tag only led to a vets voicemail. While deliberating on the best course of action two more dogs came running toward our car, both malnourished and one extremely afraid. We decided against searching for the neglectful owners of the sickly pups and took all three to the Lawrence shelter to check for chips - at least for the lab mix, who seemed to be well cared for. No chips on any of them. If anyone knows where this lovely blondie belongs, please let the family know she is safe, and at the Lawrence Humane Society! ps CHIP YOUR PETS, PEOPLE! These guys deserve more.
