Today, Sandy joined State Senators David Carlucci and Jeff Klein on City Island where Sandy’s constituent, Bryan Johnson, was tragically lost in a boating-related accident last year. They urged Governor Cuomo to sign into law boating safety legislation, which would require that anyone born on or after May 1, 1996 hold a boating safety certificate to operate a motorized vessel. They can obtain these certificates by taking a pre-approved boating safety course.
