Today: a running argument against immigration reform…Polls show most Americans, including Hispanics, want our immigration system reformed, but they want the border secured first. The bill that passed the Senate promises to beef up border security. But both House Republicans and Americans in general, according to polls, simply don’t believe it. Previous amnesty bills made the same promise, so why do we even have another 11 million plus illegal immigrants? President Obama and Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano insist that the border is more secure than ever. But try telling that to the Sheriff’s Department of Pinal County, Arizona. During a routine traffic stop, two men jumped out and tried to run, but were captured. Turns out one man had been deported 11 times in the past three years. He was already back in the USA. And he had marijuana in his car… 220 pounds of it! So either our Southern border is not exactly secure yet…or else he’d just driven in from Colorado.
