Today has been a sad day for my family, as my sister, Lynetta, lost her husband early this morning. Mike and Lynetta would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on the 11th. While my brother-in-law was not from KY, my older sister, Lynetta Ned, was. She was born in Whitesburg, in a house on Sandlick Road. Mike was just plain funny and well liked by everyone who knew him. He was always a straight-shooter if you asked for his opinion! He will be missed greatly by all of us who knew and loved him. R.I.P. Mike. Asking for your prayers for my sister and her family, to help them through the tough days ahead. Ironically, it was one year ago today, that we lost our dear Aunt Nina Gabbard Frazier in a tragic accident. Mike is th 6th family member weve lost in 14 months. Thanks everyone, in advance. I will not be on line very much, until the weekend. Michael Lynn Snider, 66, of Charlestown, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015, at his home. He was born on June 30, 1948, to Robert and Velma Maxine (Huffer) Snider, in Frankfort, IN. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a salesman. Survivors include his wife, Lynetta (Combs) Snider of Charlestown, IN; son, Justin Snider (Laura) of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Jodi Adams ( Brandon) of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Cindy Martin (Charles) of Nabb, IN, and Susan Shimp (George) of Otisco, IN; grandchildren, Corey Upton, of Flagstaff, AZ, Corey Snider, of New Washington, IN, Andrew Snider, of Charlestown, IN, Emma Adams of Jacksonville, FL, and Mika Adams of Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11 am at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with military honors and burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 8, from 11am to 8pm, and after 9am on Friday.
