Today is 15th anniversery of Kargil Vijay Diwas. In 1999, I was a little kid in 1st standard. My mother recalled that we were in Mhow canontment at the time of the war then(I have an earnest dream to visit that very army quarter where we lived). 10-15 dead bodies arrived as a usual norm despite the fact that Mhow is in Madhya Pardesh of Central India far away from kargil of Kashmir. She further carved out of her sad reminiscence a brave story of a lieutanant lady doctor of the army hospital there whose lieutanant husband was martyred in Kargil but she overcame her emotions and saluted her husband. The canontment was also very diversified in the wake of the war and my father too used to work till 2 AM. Well I dont have words to express my gratitude to our great army.
