Today is Day +184 for Xander... may not seem especially special, but it marks 6 months since his transplant, and 8 months since we left for Seattle! Hes doing great, and were hoping to do some non-pro family pics this weekend with the fall colors in full display. Its also a somber day, however, as we mark the one year passing of Brandon Fletcher, who passed away following two bone marrow transplants. Brandon had Shwachman Diamond Syndrome like Xander, and when he passed last year as we were discussing whether to go to transplant with our own son, it made the decision that much more heart-wrenching. Prayers go out to his entire family.
