Today is International Day of Prayer, pray for our brothers & sisters around the world who share our faith but not our freedom. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the hope that we have in Christ. Thank you that Christ came to set the captives free. Grant freedom to those living under the cruel grip of repressive regimes. Give them courage, strength, and hope instead of despair. Cover them and other Christians around the world with Your protection. In the midst of their persecution, grow in them perseverance and long suffering so that their neighbors might increasingly see You lived out in their lives. May the peace of Christ bring serenity and justice to them, in the Name of Christ, through whom all things live, move, and have their being, Father, our hearts break as we hear reports of the brutal murders of our brothers and sisters around the world. Father we pray, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Rev 12:11. Lord Jesus, Satan may have taken their earthly lives, but we pray today that their testimonies live on, and may many come to know You through the lives of these precious saints. Dear Heavenly Father, empower us to bring comfort, love, & freedom in place of oppression. Open our hearts to serve those who are persecuted. Guide us in our prayers and actions on their behalf. Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen
