Today is Tax Freedom Day, the day of the year where every dollar made up to today covers Americas tax burden for the year. It is only today that every new dollar earned can go to paying mortgages, buy food, go into savings, or pay bills. Every year Tax Freedom Day falls later thanks to failed economic policies and excessive regulations slowing down the US economy. This year alone Americans will spend more on taxes than they will on food, clothing, and housing combined. What we need are policies to create new jobs and help businesses, not add more taxes and regulations.
