Today is #Wednesday, which means #International #Development & #Humanitarian #Aid Day at #GreenOffOn! We asked one of the most active players in this field to tell her story, and here it is: "Hello everyone, my name is Martina and I work as a consultant for the Institute of Development Studies (#IDS) for different #climate change adaptation and #poverty #alleviation programmes. Recently I came back from #Mexico, where I was doing some work in rural #communities in the #mountain range of the beautiful #Sierra Gorda. The work was commissioned by the #German #Development #Agency (#GIZ) that works in close collaboration with the Mexican Conservation Agency (#CONANP). The reason for my trip was to work with two #rural #communities to find out how climate change affects their everyday lives and activities of people living in these rural communities. This information then helps the #conservation agency to develop climate change adaptation programmes that benefit the people and the #ecosystems in that region.
