Today is an anniversary. 30 years ago today I arrived in Los Angeles, full of fears and trepidations, hopes and expectations. And what a ride its been. Ive now lived here longer than anywhere else. I came at a particularly low time, and, like so many new Angelenos, hoping to reinvent myself. Ill have to say that its been a remarkable time, in so many ways the best years of my life. It hasnt been without its ups and downs, but overall, terrific. Ive done great things that I never thought Id have the opportunity to do, formed friendships with great people, and reached one of my lifes goals...to be retired! The day I arrived it was 102 degrees in LA. Today, its nearly the same temperature. Some things never change. But I have, and I like the person Ive become. Thanks, Los Angeles!
