Today is her last day home. This is it. Tomorrow I drive her to - TopicsExpress

Today is her last day home. This is it. Tomorrow I drive her to the airport so she can visit her mom, and then I meet her at college in two weeks to move her in. It is impossible to describe the emotion of this day. The pride I have for this young lady spans the galaxy. The sadness I have at her leaving mines a depth of my soul previously untouched. Yet, the joy I have for her new exploration of life, the hope I have for her accomplishments, the anticipation I have to be a spectator in this unfolding story all compete with the above. Like brilliant colors of paint poured into a pool, these emotions swirl together, sometimes blending, sometimes not, yet constantly creating an incredible canvas of emotional art that I can only experience in the gestalt and wonder at. She is ready. She is strong and beautiful and intelligent and everything any father could dream a daughter could be. And now she is free - to begin her life on her own.
