Today is national prematurity day. I was hospitalized at 22 weeks in labor with Jayden. I was able to keep him in with the help of strict hospital bed rest but he was born not breathing and blue with a dangerously low heart rate. Despite that hes a perfectly healthy (almost) 7 year old. Kiahna was born a few days shy of 32 weeks after I started going into heart failure. She was rushed to the NICU in critical condition as quickly as she was born. I wish I could say she was as lucky as her brother but unfortunately she was dealt a different hand. In spite of everything she faces she always does so with a smile. These 2 are my heros!!!
