Today is the day most of us in the United States call - TopicsExpress

Today is the day most of us in the United States call Thanksgiving. From the top, its important to me to acknowledge that many of my Native American friends have a hard time finding their way clear to seeing this day as one for Gratitude and Blessing. I realize that, I honor it, and I regret that our history still sets us apart in this way. My offered blessing there is for healing. For many of us without that impediment, today marks our annual opportunity to reflect on just how damned fortunate we are and celebrate that truth with some feasting and fellowship. As we usually do at our house, we will gather with some loved ones around the table this afternoon, honor our many, many blessings, and cherish the relationships and connections we share. Whatever your customs for this November Thursday, my very best wishes to you all, and my deep love and gratitude for the points of intersection you and I share here in this Facebook space (and, with many of you, elsewhere as well). Love and joy, comfort and happiness, peace and justice to you and all you hold dear. AC Smith November 2014
