Today is the day when my international beauty competition begins. Have I done enough to get ready? Never enough!, is the likely answer. Have I done MY BEST I could in my circumstances? Yes I have!. To me educating yourself is THE key factor to any success. You can get there through your own experiences or mistakes and in so doing educating yourself OR you can learn from somebody who already went through the same experience, collected the knowledge and experience and is able to pass on and educate you. I have chosen to get my education with one of the worlds top beauty competitions COACH Suzy Bootz. I could not find anybody in New Zealand with such sound international experience and titles like her. So I flew to her city San Antonio, Texas to get my lessons with her. Five days of exhausting training, ups and downs, loosing my confidence and wondering why am I doing this as I worked with her...it is soooo hard! Feeling that Il never get it. Practising, practising, practising...... the next day I saw satisfaction on her face, I had done well!. But then another challenge, and again a loss of belief in myself and wondering why am I here. Yes, I have done my best for my preparation. I believe all things happen for a reason. Right now I am still wondering why I am doing this competition. It is still not known to me why God puts me here in Florida. Is it to inspire other middle aged women like myself to step out of their comfort zone and do something crazy like approaching their favourite charity and becoming an Ambassador and volunteer for them?. Participating in beauty competitions provide with this opportunity. Or is it to encourage woman to enter beauty competitions even though she is like me, never have had experience in competing or modelling and never considering herself worthy to compete amongst the best?.... By the way, I signed a modelling contract, which helped cover my expenses which would not have been possible without my winning the title of Mrs New Zealand. I believe great new things are on the horizon for me from this competitions life experience I have gained. Today is the day and I AM READY.
