Of course it was John Denver, you might remember, who turned the remark into something you could live by. I remember a day about 40 years ago when Kathy was singing the refrain from John Denvers song just as I was just pulling into her driveway on on old motorcycle I used to have. (those were the days) This is how I choose to remember Kathy. I made fun of her singing off key. She said Piss off, kid! I think she really meant Today was the first day of the rest of her life, and dont rain of my parade.
