Today is the start of a fresh challenge, for this novice bike restorer. In the spring I purchased this GSXR750J which has done just 420 miles from new. Yes that is right, four hundred and twenty miles. Today the bike goes up on the ramp in my garage, so that I can remove all the mint bodywork and sort my shopping list for Stafford Show, as so much of the metalwork is corroded. A set of NOS exhausts are under way, courtesy of eBay. As you can see from the tyres, the old lady has never even been leant over as the tyres still have their mouldings on them and the tax disc still shows 1989. Chassis and engine numbers are low, so I am assuming she is one of the very first J models into the UK, registered in March 1988.
