Today marks a special occasion for me. It was on this day, five years ago, that I became an Eagle Scout. At the time everyone thought it was a pretty big deal, and so did I. Most people think of Boy Scoutings highest award as a destination, but in reality it was only a new beginning. It was only in the years since that I have begun to discover what I am truly capable of accomplishing. Scouting has allowed me to do countless incredible things and work with countless incredible people. So many people have touched my life throughout this unforgettable experience, and I hope that I have done something to repay the confidence that they placed in me along the way. Thank you to everyone who made and continues to make my journey possible, and to those everywhere who continue to work for the good of our youth, our community, and our nation.
