Today marks the second anniversary of moms Homegoing! She lived with Tom and I the last 14 months of her life and it was the best years of my life! Was it without tears and hard work? Not in the least! We cried we laughed we talked ...everything a mom and a daughter should do in life more often. Tom treated her like a queen! She always thought she was a burden to us. She would say I am sorry u have to put up with me and I would say I am sorry u have to put up with us lol. But all Nates friends would always top the steps and looks over and say HI GRANDMA! She brought such happiness to all of us! But about 2 months before she left she and I were sitting alone and she said Now I know u dont want to hear this but its not gonna be long...its not gonna be long she always said going to Heaven was our reward for serving the Lord and she was so ready for that day. I would often hear her talk to dad as I was on my way to bed at night and she was all alone telling him goodnight. She knew where he was and she so wanted to go there. So am I happy or sad? Both u might say. Odd huh? Not if u know Jesus as ur Savior and have a lively hope in Him. Our parents taught is the way of Salvation ... wow such a treasure and because Jesus lives we can live also! RIP mom and dad ... not goodbye but SEE YOU LATER!
