Today on my way downtown to take Collin to the doctor I took the Wayne Ave exit off of rt 35. Ive heard this song a few times over the last few weeks and it just happened to be on the radio as I took the exit. As I got to the bottom of the ramp there was a homeless lady holding a sign that just said anything helps. I think it was a sign from God that she was put right outside my window and this song was playing. Well Ill be honest, I didnt have a penny to give this lady and I was pretty sure my card would be declined at the parking garage for the $2 it cost @ Collins doctor. I didnt have any more money than she did. But I was in a car and not on foot. I had a cold bottle of water in the seat next to me and I knew I had food in my fridge. What could I do for this lady? Well the only thing in my wallet other than air was a gift card I got for my birthday. I didnt second guess it at all, it belonged to her. I dont want a pat on the back I just wonder how many peoples lives could be changed if people werent so selfish? Help someone, even when you think you have nothing to offer, think of a way you can help.
