Today the Lady Pirate softball team traveled up Highway 62 to face county rival New Washington. The Charlestown bats came alive early and often as the Lady Pirates got the win 7-0 on 8 hits and no errors. Charlestown ace Carly Price got the complete game shutout win to improve to 7-4 on the season and added two doubles at the plate to help her cause. Extra bases were the norm as Kaitlynn Henning & Mackenzie Smith also had doubles and Lexi Logsdon & Leah Sherrill both connected with triples. Carly & Mackenzie both had two hits on the day as the Lady Pirates improved to 10-5 on the season. Tomorrow the Lady Pirates host MSC rival Brownstown in a HUGE conference match up. First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM. Please come out and show your support for this team of talented ladies.
