Today the news of three people whom died in two different Avalanche incidents in South America reached us through social media and for some from friends whom knew them. This is a great tragedy for many, and many will never even know of this incident or who these people are. I feel in this time that it is important to state my feelings on the matter. What I have learned in my forty one years of life is that most people, and I mean most, forget about what life should be and why they are here. Most people follow what they think the normal path of life is and do so until they are gone from this world. True life is about conquering your fears and straying from what everyone else is doing and following YOUR path and passion that makes YOU happy and complete regardless of what you have been taught or what others may think. These three icons of the ski and ride world did exactly this. They realized what truly made them happy and they followed their dreams. They lived those dreams and passions everyday all the way until their end. As tragic as it is, I doubt for one moment they regret the choices they made. They lived and died and will be able to say one thing that most people in this world cant, I did exactly what for filled my dreams, my desires, and my inner soul and I wouldnt take it back knowing the outcome for one second. We should all admire this courage and question ourselves and askam I living everyday happy living my dreams and passions? If the answer is no, you are wasting every breath you take. Life is short and should be lived in a way that will put a smile on your face every day. These three people understood this and will go down as heroes in my eyes and many others. Liz Daley, JP Auclair and Andreas Fransson, you will be remembered by so many that understand who you were, and how much you meant by the way you lived your lives!
