Today the permit application went in for our project. Here are a few little things to remember when heading into the Building Standards branch: 1. Make sure you have an application form filled out for each portion of the permit. If your doing a detached garage or basement development each items needs to be on a separate application form. 2. In order to have the drawings processed smoothly make sure you have all additional information that may be needed supplied. For example... spray foam forms, ventilation design or engineered drawings. 3. Once you receive the floor layout/truss layout shop drawings those need to be submitted as well. 4. The City of Saskatoon has a handy check list that anyone can follow & it outlines all the information that is needed. Make sure to have a quick run through this as well before heading in. 5. If or when you get a letter back from the City respond to the requests in a timely fashion. It will help keep the process flowing.
