Today was a very emotional day. My husband, Steven Moehr, was transferred today from the Montreal Neurological Hospital to the Donald Berman Maimonides Hospital. Our friends Sharon Leikam and Harley were there to support us, in from Wisconsin. I am so grateful for their love and friendship, and for their wacky sense of humour. I had heard good things about Hôpital Maimonides but had no idea just how extraordinary this centre really is. We were met by teams of great people from every department who went to work right away to ensure that Steven gets the best care across the board. They even went to work to design a special chair for Steven that would give him the most comfort and the best support. State of the art technology...I am so grateful for their incredible dedication and programs. A new chapter has begun and I am so relieved. When we looked out his window, there was a full rainbow...a breathtaking gift. Thank-you all for your love and support...it means the world to us...
