Today was bitter sweet. I had to say goodbye to the staff and students at Good Hope. Technically two students did not pass my final test but I set the bar at 75 which would have been a "C" back home. I worked with the two students one on one and was convinced they understood where they messed up so they got a prize as well. To these kids a prize of notebooks, pencils and rulers is appreciated plus I threw in a candy bar..... which they SHARED! Later in the day we set off for Mt Kili to see the process of making coffee and to see a great waterfall. What a trip! We had to hike about an hour along a goat path. Unfortunately for me it rained on the mountain and the path was slick. I slid twice and sprained my ankle.. Fortunately not seriously but I had to go very slowly and use walking sticks. We finally made it to the falls... On the way back up we stopped in a small village and got an education on small batch coffee production from picking the beans to filling the cup. What an amazing day!
