Today was one of the hardest and sadest days I have had in the rescue world for a while. Some how this little dog ended up on a main road. A lady spotted her this afternoon in the ditch and picked her up. At half five this morning the post man going to work saw two dogs dead on the road having been killed by the traffic. This Little one was found close by. I went to see the little one at the ladys house to check her over and scan for a micro chip. She is matted filthy and underweight. A little worried and traumatized and totally exhausted.She is a senior dog and very sweet.I went to scan the deceased dogs on the road and it was impossible as the traffic had mangled the bodies. I could tell one was a king charles and the other was a small brown dog. I would love to know how these little dogs ended up on a main road in the middle of the night. A very sad sight to see. Little one is safe tonight in a warm bed and her tummy is full. She is going to the vet in the morning for a check and to be groomed. Sadly her chip is not registered to any one.
