Today was quite interesting to say the least. This morning I headed out on a day of exploration uncertain of what the day was to bring. No schedule, no plan, the only thing certain was I was heading south. After heading south on the 15fwy for about an hour I reached a Buddhist Temple. Well kinda, after following this dirt road for miles I ended up at a location (which I thought to be the temple) turned out to be someones home who instructs acrobatics in their backyard. I met these kind ladies who invited me back to speak to the instructor about the location of this Buddhist temple. After speaking to the instructor he tells me the temple was just on the other side of his property, and mentioned I would have to wait patiently for a car to exit because the gates to the temple were closed. So I sat and waited patiently for thirty minutes when a man and two dogs arrive and invite me on a long uphill hike to the temple. As Im explaining oh thats okay but thank you a car pulls up with two Asian ladies from Orange County who are also looking to visit the temple but end up sitting with me for fifteen minutes talking. At this point its been forty five minutes of waiting, when I start to think it just wasnt meant to be. So, I say goodbye and off I go to the next location. As Im driving, who knows where Im at... I stumble across a road block. Theres a stop sign in the middle of the road and a police vehicle blocking access. As I drive up the officer approaches my vehicle and asking me some questions. Quickly I learn that I was attempting to enter Indian reservation grounds and the officer who spoke to me was a tribal law enforcement officer, who obviously didnt grant me access. After a five hour exploration, different then any exploring Ive ever done... I would say this was definitely the most interesting.
