Today wasnt the easiest day weve ever had to say the least. But thats always a possibility when youre trying something new. We were fishing in a typical Dutch canalsystem for pike. The first fish grabbed Oscars lure when were already fishing for two hours and it got away. Struggling to find some good spots and a way to deal with the strong winds our efforts payed off. Well, especially for Oscar it payed off to be more precise! The captain caught only one pike whilst his compagnon in the front of the boat was more lucky with five pikes from which two were really fat! In the end I can conclude that weve had a really nice first day on this water after all. ☺ Well be back....
