Today we observed, what I think Interference pattern. In a glass vessel we took some glycerin on slowly put some water on it. Though in general the two mix, but if you put the water carefully it can make a layer on glycerin for a long time. Then we sent a red laser beam frm a side entering at the junction of two layers and hitting the top surface at an angle to result in TIR. On the other side, we put a white board and saw beautiful pattern of dark and bright patch of red light. Showing some photographs, Another interesting thing is that in the photos intense laser beam is seen as white though with eyes it was all red.
