Today we spent 7 hours on a train trip that should have taken 3 hours! Our train broke down in the middle of nowhere...35 degree heat and waited for 1&1/2 hours for another train...all stops to Rome. This is after paying euros 110.00. Arrived in Rome and straight to dinner...forgot camera in the room. We went to an Irish pub and out walks Stephen Tyler...photo opportunity missed...walked to Piazza Navona and also to Trevi fountain...threw heaps of shrapnel into the fountain...hahaha. Tomorrow morning off to Amalfi Coast 7:00am pickup from hotel. Our hotel is two minutes up the road from the Vittorio Emmanuele monument aka the wedding cake.
