Todays marks the 14th anniversary of my Daddys passing. Today I will be celebrating his life by doing everything he loved, spending time with family, eating a good home cooked meal, listening Diana Krall and Anita Baker, lol! I am so blessed to have been brought into the world by the MOST loving, caring and compassionate man I have ever known. My Daddy taught me what to expect from a man by being that man. I could literally see love in his eyes every time he looked at me. He made the most simple things seem extraordinary. We never missed a parade, festival, carnival or fair. My dad made sure I had an Easter bunny, a Valentines Day card with candy, a Dollar Store barbie for my birthday and that cookies were made for Santa. Our house was always filled with family and friends, meat on the grill, gumbo in a pot, cards being played, drinks being poured and good music on the stereo. Today is a celebration of wonderful memories my Daddy left me with. :)
