Todays update on my niece from her daddy Scott Taylor: :) The past 3 days have been a whirlwind to say the least... Morgan has improved so much that we cannot believe it! Tubes were removed each day, and she has been up and out of her bed and walking. She has gone from eating soft food to now eating whatever she wants. (And she wants it all!! She asked for a cheeseburger from In N Out Burger today!!) She is completely off of oxygen now and has passed test after test with flying colors! She is doing so well that she just moved from the Critical Care Unit up a floor to the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit(PCCU). She will be in the PCCU for a while...dont know exactly how long, but we have heard that once this move is made, it is usually a few days(hopefully 2). One of the perks in the PCCU rooms is a shower. I believe she took about a 45 minute shower as soon as we moved into the room!! Next to solid food, the shower has been one of her biggest requests! One quick note about the food; the nurses learned very quickly that Morgan Taylor has little patience while waiting on food!! Although she has moved out of the CCU, the doctors are still keeping an eye on her improvement. She is still healing, and will have follow ups with the specialists until she is discharged. Once discharged, she will continue to take antibiotics and a blood thinner for awhile. Marian Taylor and I would like to thank all of our Prayer Warriors for your continued support!! We couldnt have made it without your love, support, and prayers!!!!!! Provided Morgan continues to improve and we have no setbacks, we will be leaving AZ on Tuesday of next week. We look forward to getting home! We have received wonderful care here, and appreciate all of the medical Team that has taken care of our little girl. (we feel like we have developed some friendships during this experience!)
