Today’s track hails from Japan, via the ever interesting Ample Play label. The band is Yokan System, and their debut single, Yokan Teresa is a mixture of garage style guitar with the type of dreamy vocals you’d hear on 4AD. Unlike most dream pop this is faster and grittier, but has a lot of naive innocence and charm. The b-side Klee is also worth checking out. It’s more electronic but has a pop sheen which has appeal as well.
