Dont agree with him on everything but thought for years he would be someone from the Republican party who could carry Pennsylvanias electoral college votes as well as some of the surrounding toss up states. There are solidly red states and solidly blue states and very few which are up for grabs, but those few are where the fight to determine the winner are. Governor Ridge used to say that every job has value. He used to always go behind the scenes at big dinners to thank the folks in the kitchen and the maintenance departments because he knew without them, there is no dinner. He was raised in veterans public housing and ended up at Harvard. Well rounded, he appreciates what every person does in this nation to make it work.
