Tommy is home today, feeling prappy as we like to call it. Its not a bad word if you switch the c for a p , dad disagrees but, it is what it is, prappy. Tommy has eye appointments on Thursday, visual fields and acuity. I am so anxious to see how his vision is. I want to know that the cost of this chemo on Tommys daily life and little body, is worth something. I want to know if it is making a difference or not. If its working, great, I will work on his quality of life in other ways, but if its not we need to switch protocols. The tricky thing about changing protocols is that, as his onco put it, once you x-out a treatment, there is no going back, there isnt an unlimited list of options so we have to be sure we are doing the right thing. We need to give it enough time... without at the same time, giving up too much vision which, you do not get back once it is lost. Tommy also has labs at Dana Farber on Thursday, those will take several days to get back to us but I am anxious to see if his CML number have continued to go up or if they have stabilized, the last thing we need is for the leukemia to act up.
