Tomorrow I leave for Madison Wisconsin to compete in my first full - TopicsExpress

Tomorrow I leave for Madison Wisconsin to compete in my first full distance Ironman triathlon that is being held on Sunday, September 7. The race starts 7:00am and I will be at it for between 15-17 hours. It consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and finishes with a marathon (26.2 miles). I signed up for this race a year ago and have been training since then for it. I hope you can take some time out of your day and check in on me. There are several ways to do it. That would be the Ironman web site and from a GPS tracking device I will be wearing on the bike and run. See below for more info: Ironman site: • Go to ironman. Select RACES then look for LIVE COVERAGE. Find WISCONSIN and click on it. (may not be exactly like this but will be close) From there you can follow my progress as they post intermediate times (splits) under the section ATHLETE TRACKER. There are also live video feeds from key parts of the event. Usually they broadcast swim start and finish, bike finish and the finish line. The 2 best live feeds are usually the swim start (7:00am sharp) and the finish line later in the evening after dark. o There is also an iPhone App titled IronTrac ($0.99) that you can use to get the same info as the Ironman web site. • For the GPS tracking device, go to myathletelive. Look on the right side of the page and find Ironman Wisconsin. Click on that and then find my name, click on it and it will bring up my info page. Thanks for checking on me-I will feel your positive mojo to help me get through the day! Thanks to my coach David Polkow, my training partner Dan Peloza Darcy Rea), and my wife Nancy Jauch Vicelli for getting me here. Also thanks to everyone at West Suburban Multi-Sport Club for their support.
