Tomorrow will be the day of the most Powerful Prayer Vigil Ever. Looking forward to having nearly every Clergy member here on Facebook to attend and offer a word of Prayer to our Creator to intervene as we address this epidemic of Gun Violence thats stripping society of an entire generation. Looking forward to all of the Media Friends to attend as well. Also, all of the local Elected Officials.. This will be our 6th Annual Prayer Vigil in the South Austin community. I have lived in this community since 1968 and I cannot begin to tell you how many people have perished from Gun Violence within that over 4 decade period. I will say...far to many. Six years ago when the Greer family lost one of their loved ones ( Lil Marcus) The family came together and stood at the corner of Lotus and Congress pkwy and Prayed to our Heavenly Father to help us stop this vicious epidemic...To Save Our Children!!!! Since then, we have continued coming together at that same location and Prayed. Shooting incidents have decreased drastically, People are coming together as neighbors looking out for each other, having block parties, school events, and simply being good neighbors. Every year I was asked to offer the prayer, it is my hope that this year several Pastors attend and each of them offer an intercessory prayer and watch God Work. Remember: The corner of Congress pkwy and Lotus between the hours of 5pm and 8pm.... Tomorrow...TAX DAY!!! Come join us PEACE!
