Tonight I experienced the most terrifying ordeal I can imagine as a parent. It was an ordinary night... I was fixing supper. Wyatt was trying to climb up my legs so I asked Ben to take him since my hands were covered in dough. Now, if you know Wyatt, he tends to be a little dramatic... He started crying when Ben picked him up, but he held his breath.... And held his breath.... And held his breath to the point that he started to turn blue. I grabbed him from Ben, turned him over my knee and started beating on his back until he finally took a breath.... I was about 2 seconds from starting CPR. If you are a parent and you are not certified in CPR, do it. You have no excuse not to. It could save your childs life. Thank God it didnt come to that, but knowing how to react in that kind of situation without hesitation gives me a great deal of peace of mind... #CPRforALL
