Tonight I realized that on Friday night I will be performing my last high school field show. After Friday I wont be spending hours each night reviewing my counts, my music, and my drill. I wont be going to practice two nights a week to perfect this show with my bandmates. I dont get to be excited when this season is over because I know I get to do it all over again the next school year. I realized tonight that everything Ive learned about field show marching these past four years will come to a close this Friday night. When they say high school goes by quickly, theyre not kidding. I only wish I could go back to my freshman year and tell myself to appreciate the time I have with this band more than I did; the saying You dont know what you have till its gone is entirely too true. My high school field marching career is coming to a close, and it is extremely bittersweet. So that being said- if youre not doing anything Friday night you should come to the OCHS Homecoming game and watch the OCMB perform our superhero themed field show at halftime. Its going to be awesome. :)
