Tonight I walked and Brian Beard ran the Sabine Causeway for the first time. I walked 1.6 miles (2x across the bridge) in 32:56. Brian ran 3.1 miles in 30:09.9. (4x across the bridge). Special thanks to OJ and Diane Breaux Gaspard for coming out and cheering us on. I heard lots of people saying they made their personal best time tonight. Congratulations to all the participants. For me it was a memorial walk even at just 1.6 miles because as I reached the top of the bridge the first time, I realized that just a few more miles into Louisiana back in 1993, I broke my ankle bad enough that doctors said I may never walk again. But GOD!!!!!!!!! This was my favorite walk yet. I will do it again. Pictures to follow.
