Tonight at 6:30 pm, the UMD Library will host another reading/discussion event in the 4th floor rotunda as part of the Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys series. This program will focus on The Art of Hajj by Venetia Porter. This visual treasury explores artistic representations of the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. Join UMD faculty members Rosemary Stanfield-Johnson and Nik Hassan as they facilitate community discussion that will help participants learn more about the people, places, history, faith, and cultures of Muslims in the United States and around the world.
